The Proclamation of the Everlasting Gospel
"Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth, to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the Hour of His Judgment has come; and Worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water." (Revelation 14:6-7, NKJV). It was Christ who spoke and wrote the Ten Commandments on Mt Sinai. It was Christ who created all things. It was Christ who created the Sabbath of the Fourth Commandment of the unchangeable Decalogue found in Exodus 20:8-11. Christ was the spiritual Rock in the wilderness that provided sustenance for God's chosen people. "For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ" (1Corinthians 10:4, NKJV). He manifested and revealed the character and charisma of our heavenly Father. "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (Colossians 2:9, NKJV). Christ Jesus is the second person of the triune Godhead. "Christ, the Living Word, existed ere creation's work began. He was with God, and He was God through past ages' endless span! Everything the Word created -- nought apart from Him was made; And in Him the life invested was the Light to men displayed" (John 1:1-4, Versified Rendering of the Complete Gospel Story by Warren Wordsworth Faw, 1980). If Christ created all things in the beginning, then He made the seventh day Sabbath holy, and has a right to call it My holy day and the Lord's Day. "We have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the visible likeness of the invisible God of heaven… All creation was created by Him, and all things were made through Him… He existed in eternity past, and in Him all things consist that exist. Messiah Yeshua is the Authority of the spiritual Body, the Christian Church" (Col. 1:14-18, Verses are Paraphrased). Honor and obey our Creator, Savior, and Blessed Redeemer, Christ Jesus.
REMEMBER to commemorate Christ's Memorial Day. "By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work, And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done" (Genesis 2:2-3, NIV). Remember Christ's creative energy and sanctifying power by worshiping Him on His Holy Sabbath Day. The Bible never calls it the Jewish Sabbath. The Sabbath Institution was made before sin entered the world. The Bible Sabbath was made at creation for Adam and Eve, and all for mankind. For more Info see: www.sabbath-day.net and www.seventh-day.org. Christ Jesus said, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27, 28, NIV). The Sabbath was made in the Garden of Eden. The early Christian Church worshipped God on the Lord's holy Sabbath day. Christians don't keep the Lord's Sabbath Day to earn salvation. Our obedience is proof of our love for God, and the fruit of our faith. Loving obedience to God is not legalism. Willful disobedience is a sin. "As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue, the people invited them to speak further about these things the next Sabbath… On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord… Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks" (Acts 13:42-48; 18:4).
The Lord's Holy Memorial Day
Let us celebrate and commemorate the Lord's Holy Memorial Day every seventh day of the week. It's in the Bible. What Christ has created and made no mortal man can undo or unmake. The invincible, infallible Creator God of the Universe has never changed the Memorial Day that honors His Creation. God's true Sabbath is the birthday of Mother Earth. "I am the LORD, and I do not change" (Malachi 3:6, NLT). Can you change your own birthday? Can you change the nation's Independence Day? No! Then why do men think that they can change the Lord's holy Sabbath Day of Creation? For more understanding see: www.sabbath-truth.org and www.sabbath-truths.com.
REMEMBER means to keep in mind and to recall from memory. Remember, the seventh day of the week is the God-given Sabbath of the LORD our God, and not just any day in seven. Like the Seventh Day Sabbath, the weekly cycle began at Creation over 2000 years before Abraham or the Hebrews ever existed. God rested, blessed, and sanctified the seventh day. Each Day of Creation was a literal (24 hour) day. The seventh day Sabbath was observed by God's righteous people from Adam, Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Joseph day to the time of Moses before the Israelites reached Mt. Sinai. "Six days shall you gather it (manna), but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there shall be none… So the people rested on the seventh day" Exodus 16:26-30, NKJV. These saints were prototypes of the kind of righteous people that God wants us to be. The Bible also says: "I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him" (Ecclesiastes 3:14, NIV). If we revere, honor, and respect Almighty God, we will obey His Ten Commandments because we love Him, but not to earn salvation. Salvation is a free gift. Jesus said in John 14:15. "If you love Me, keep My Commandments". The ceremonial law of Moses is not the moral law of God. Let no one judge you in respect of religious festivals or ceremonial sabbaths (Leviticus 23) which are a shadow of the real substance and the reality to come. These feast days find there fulfillment in Jesus Christ. For more insight see: www.colossians2-16.com, www.colossians-2-16.org, and at this website: www.preparingforeternity.com/mosevs10.htm.
Anti-Semitism Is a Sin
Ever since the Dark Ages many professed Christians have held anti-Sabbath and anti-Semitic beliefs and sentiments, and expressed them in Church Councils; Many early Church Fathers and some Church Reformers hated the Jews, and falsely accused them of being Christ-killers. They were blinded by bigotry, and poisoned by prejudice. Jesus said, "I lay down my life that I may take it up again" (John 10:17, ESV). We are all responsible for Christ's death. Read www.lamblion.com/articles/articles_jewishlife5.php and www.diaspora-scrapbook.org/Antisemitism.aspx. Real Christians love their neighbors and everyone. I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is Jewish. The New Testament Christian Church was predominantly made up of Jewish Christians. The Gentile Sabbath-keeping Christians who were accused of Judaizing were heroes, and not heretics. They were only following their convictions, God's Word, and the perfect customary example of our Lord Jesus Christ. One regional synod, called the Council of Laodicea (364 AD), enacted Canon #29 which said: "Christians must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath… if any shall be found to be Judaizers, let them be anathema (excommunicated) from Christ". How does God identify His end-time remnant people in the New Testament? "Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Rev 14:2, NKJV). God's saints surrender to the control of His government and authority. Anti-Semitism is a sin. Jesus taught the principle of love. "Love your enemies… Love one another" (Matt 5:44; John 15:12).
Ethnic discrimination and all forms of racism are demonic, sinful, and unChristlike. God is no respecter of persons (1 Tim 5:21, NKJV). God "has made of one blood every nation of men to dwell upon the whole face of the earth" (Acts 17:26, DBY). The penalty for willful known sin is death. But there is hope and redemption (1 John 1-9). Prophetic Scriptures reveal what will happen on the executive day of universal judgment. "Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire" (Revelation 20:14-15, NKJV).
REMEMBER, it is good to do humanitarian deeds and acts of kindness and mercy on the Sabbath Day. The seventh day Sabbath is the memorial day of the Genesis Creation. We avoid unnecessary work on the Lord's holy day (Exodus. 20:8-11; Ezekiel. 46:1). To the early Christians the Sabbath day was a festive, joyful day of delight with no fasting, but the Pharisees and Sadducees made it a burden with strict restrictions that God had never intended. Christlike Christians enjoy the Lord's holy Sabbath day by worshiping, glorifying, and praising Him on His Day of Delight. They worship Him in spirit and in truth. They sing hymns, psalms, and songs, and make melody in their hearts. They preach and read the Holy Scriptures to the waiting congregation. And then they follow the advice of Nehemiah, Ezra, and the Levites during the potluck fellowship dinner time after divine worship. "This day is sacred to the LORD your God. Do not mourn or weep… Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who having nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:9-12, NIV).
REMEMBER Jesus Christ was a Sabbathkeeper. He set a perfect example for all of His disciples and followers. Fallen Lucifer, the Devil, is deceiving the whole world. Satan's delusions lead to many astounding illusions by professed believers in God. Only Divine Truth will set them free. The seventh day Sabbath has always been the Lord's Day. You must see www.lordsday.org. "So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read" (Luke 4:16, NKJV). Jesus also told His Christian disciples to pray that their flight from Jerusalem in A.D. 70 not be in the winter time, or on the Sabbath day (Matthew 24:20). We know the days of the week have not changed. Christ was crucified on a cross on Good Friday. He rested in the tomb on the Sabbath; and He was resurrected from the dead on Sunday morning, the first day of the week (Luke 23:53 to 24:8).
What Is Rome's Challenge?
Who really tried to change the Sabbath day to Sunday? "Sunday is founded, not on Scripture, but on tradition, and is distinctly a Catholic Institution." Catholic Record, Sept. 17, 1893. What is Rome's Challenge to God-fearing Protestant and Catholic Christians who love Jesus Christ with all their hearts? Read the literature at: www.romeschallenge.com. The Sabbath will be kept in heaven and in the new earth (Mark 2:27-28; Isaiah 66:22-23). The true Lord's Day is a forgotten day by most professed Christians even though it is a part of the New Covenant. However, "You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday." Cardinal Gibbons, Faith of our Fathers. God's moral law is written in our hearts. The seventh day Sabbath marks the completion of Creation and Redemption. Dr. Luke, who wrote the Gospel of Luke, was a non-Jewish Christian, and he kept the Sabbath Day holy. Go to http://whitehorsemedia.com. Click on Sabbath Zone for more Info. I keep the seventh day Sabbath because I love Christ; He observed it during His entire life on earth, and He never changed it. ‘Nowhere in the Bible do we find that Christ or the Apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday." The Catholic Virginian, October 3, 1947, p. 9. Here is a powerful quote from The Catholic Mirror. "The Catholic Church for over one thousand years before the existence of a Protestant, by virtue of her Divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday." Sept. 23, 1893.
REMEMBER is a reminder to not forget. Remember to Remember that the Sabbath is Jesus' sacred day because He created it, and He is Lord of the Sabbath. God never calls the 7th Day Sabbath Jewish. We do not worship the day. We worship only the LORD of the Lord's Day. The seventh day Sabbath is the true Lord's Day. Sunday is the first day of the week. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, created and made the Sabbath at the creation of the world, and no one can change or transfer the sanctity or holiness of the Sabbath to another day. Each day of Creation had an evening and morning. The Sabbath begins at sunset Friday, and ends at sunset Saturday. Read some Amazing Bible Facts at: www.sabbathtruth.com. The Sabbath was made for all mankind (Gen. 2:1-3; Ez. 20:12, 20). I love and worship my personal Creator. I don't idolize or worship: angels, fancy cars, fashions and physiques, houses, idols, materialism, money, prophets of revelation, religious-isms, saints, superstars, or TV talking heads. The Final Crisis is here. This could be your last chance. Our changing world has two classes of people. Those who obey God's Ten Commandment Law, and those who disobey it. (Read John 15:10).
I worship the God of Creation. Remember means to keep the memory alive. Are you keeping the memory of the Lord's Sabbath Day alive? Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Don't try to dismember God, or disremember the Sabbath rest that remains for all Bible Believing Christians (Hebrews 4:1-11). The Lord's Day Sabbath is a seal and sign of God's creative and sanctifying authority. God says, "There is no God else besides me, a just God and a Savior; there is no one besides me" (Isaiah 45:21, HNV). At the Second Coming of Christ the righteous will jump for joy, and celebrate the Presence of the Lord. The violent and wicked rejecters of God's amazing grace will run and try to hide when they hear: "The voice of the LORD, who fully repays His enemies" (Isaiah 66:6). Use your free choice wisely today, and choose Jesus as your Savior.
